Welcome to the Reid Academy, where the vibrant tradition of Irish Dance flourishes!

 

Formerly known as Connick-Reid Academy, we have proudly nurtured dancers of all ages throughout North Carolina. With a legacy of training Oireachtas champions and achieving top 5 finishes at national competitions and top 10 at the World Championships, we are committed to fostering talent and building confidence.

 

Our students also give back to the community, performing at local schools, supporting civic organizations, and lighting up St. Patrick’s Day parades.

The Reid Academy is proud to offer Irish dance classes in Charlotte, NC at our main studio located on South Boulevard. Families from across the Charlotte area come to our studio to learn traditional Irish dance in a positive and encouraging environment.

Our Charlotte Irish dance classes welcome beginners, recreational dancers, and competitive dancers. Students build strong technique, confidence, rhythm, and a love of Irish culture while learning from experienced instructors.

Many of our students perform throughout the Charlotte community during events and celebrations, especially during the Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade and other local festivals.  Many children first discover Irish dance after seeing dancers perform in the Charlotte St. Patrick’s Day Parade and decide to try Irish dance classes themselves.
